Apps & Games: 1 +extra

I've decided that since I have started running out of ideas for things to blog about I am going to start a weekly Apps & Games section where I will share my thoughts on the best/ most interesting and possibly the worst apps I can find in the Google Play store. I say weekly but I don't know how many weeks this will last for.

Apps & Games: 1

Today I'm gonna look at 2 games, one that everyone will know about and another that may be a little less known.

First up we have the obvious new android game Temple Run 2 I guess we have all already played, but for all those who haven't I will tell you the changes from the original. First off as soon as the game starts you are invited by a new Imangi studios logo and a slightly different UI. When the game starts you are only hunted by a single "monkey-demon thing" instead of the horde of them in the original in a new mountainous landscape with new paths and features in the game. The first new feature is a zip-wire that takes you onto the new routes. All of the old basic jump and slide sections are still there just with a different look ie, a tree with a hole has become a hole in a rock but there is now a new mine shaft area where you climb into a mine cart and it rolls around on rails where your only job is to tilt the screen to turn corners and collect coins. The only problem with the new game as far as I can see is that the sensitivity on the tilt is very low and cannot be altered, just to be sure I have tried on multiple devices. Another problem I have heard of although I have not encountered myself is that the game is sometime "jumpy" or crashes ( although those have mainly been people with iphones that have told me that).

Next up we have the new-ish super addictive game that I want everyone to download, Trid, now people don't just look at the picture you actually have to play the game to get the feel of it. I love this game it's a fast game (depending on how fast you are) with multiple game modes as you can see in the middle image. My favourite is the simple Time Attack but the others such as sudden death- which as soon as you make one mistake is over- and memory- which makes the pattern you repeat gradually fade leaving you to remember the pattern yourself-are a little more difficult. I have for the past week been playing almost non-stop and I hope you will all take a look as right now it is my new favourite android game, the only problem is finding the menu button after finishing a game.

EXTRA

Now this week has been busy with a lot of studying for my prelims ( practice exams) meaning I have had no time for anything other than that but now I have a day to relax as my next prelim is not until Thursday meaning I had a little time to write this post. Also the obvious winner of the poll for the collaborative blog name ( which was on both gibstone productions and my own blog) was "The right angle" but due to a little thieving b****rd taking the url after we posted it we have had to instead use "theriteangle.blogspot " although the blog name will still be The right angle so your votes did not go to waste.

thanks for reading.
